Every year we hear that the government will spend less if we only hire this politician or that politician. If we support this or that group we will save our liberty. Government spending still goes up every year. Now have a look at this index of government departments and agencies. http://www.usa.gov/directory/federal/index.shtml. Is it really so difficult to remove government agencies? It is hard to believe that for every one of these offices there are so many supporters of that office that it can't be closed down.
Keep in mind that this is a list of Federal Agencies add that to the list of state county and city offices and it is a recipe for massive spending. Is there a way to help everyone that needs it, maintain our current military and not bankrupt our children? Not a chance.
